Tarot: How does the Justice Card Relate to Astrology?

How does this card relate to astrology? What can you take from this card?  Putting it bluntly is rules anything legal.

M

Getting a justice card in a reading can mean anything as small as a parking ticket to a full-on lawsuit.  She is holding the scales and they also represent  Libra, ruler of the seventh house in astrology.  Libra is about balance, fairness, and justice.
How many Libras do you know? Are they lawyers or judges?  How many Libras do you know struggle in making a  decision?  If their chart is afflicted, then it may mean that they are out of balance.
A person doesn't have to be a Libra to have those traits.  They can have Libra in their chart and still have some Libra tendencies. Libra is ruled by Venus- the planet of beauty.  Libras love beauty, the finer things in life like a Leo, however, a Libra maybe a little more refined.  I have known a few Libras in my day.  Very well in fact, and I will attest that the ones I personally know are easily swayed, go where the wind takes them and not the most reliable bunch.  However, I do not know every Libra, so I can't say they are all this way.  I would love to know the one that was balanced and stable.

M

Back to the tarot card.  Notice on the other hand she holds the sword.  Last I checked an idle sword isn't a threat.  However one in action is another story.  Whatever is out of balance will be put into balance.
To me it says, things will be fair and if not...well you get the idea.  Balance, fairness and remaining objective is key here. Temperance should also be considered.
Do you have a healthy work-life balance?  Do you feel you are giving more than you should in a relationship?  Are you taking too much in your relationship?

Tarot- The Wheel- Good Forturne

When the wheel card appears this represents good luck and fortunes.  It also represents cycles.  So if you have had a bad luck streak, fear not!  Your luck is changing.
If this card appears in reverse, then that is obvious in that the opposite is about to happen for you.  However, as much as I study astrology and I am a nerd to the space channel and fascinated by the unseen, I still have a foot in the logical world.  I always say we were born with free will and with that comes the power to change our own path and find a better direction.

If you look at the card, it has very interesting illustrations that represents Egypt, astrology and even the god of evil in Egyptian beliefs. The four-winged creatures represent the four evangelists - Lion, Ox, Man, and Eagle also associated with the signs, Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and Scorpio.  I find it interesting that these are all cardinal signs of a fixed nature.
The word in the center around the wheel is 'Tarot' and the letters stand for the  Jewish translation meaning God of Isreal.
Now, this is the 10th Trump card, and the 10th house is associated with the sign Capricorn.
The planet associated with this card is Jupiter which in astrology is the ruler of luck and expansion- or growth.  That could mean your waistline or your pocket.  Take it for what it is worth.  But also keep in mind too, that Jupiter rules Sagittarius as well. Another lucky sign of the zodiac, blunt and a great sense of humor (most times)
So how would one view this card?  Well, I like to keep things simple.  Keep to what the card represents.  It is safe to say that all could be a possibility.
Are you expecting a raise in the time of Sagittarius?  November 21- Dec. 22?
With this being the 10th card, Capricorns are the workers of the zodiac and that is what rules Capricorn.  It also represents one's vocation or career.  Mainly your mars sign in your chart indicates vocation- but depending on where your other signs are housed in can play a role.

M

Is your sun or mars sign in Capricorn?  Do you anticipate having to work very hard for your changes?
This card is about change, remember a rolling stone gathers no moss and the wheel keeps turning.
Do you feel you have been hindered in some way, that something negative has held you back? Hence the ancient God of Evil in Egypt, represented by the snake or the God Anubis who accepts souls into the underworld.  But at the top is the sphinx, represents knowledge.
Have you taken a different path, higher purpose and experienced a figurative death?  Moving on?
This card is mostly positive.

What many do not know about me is my ancestors are actually Egyptian and yes I had the testing to verify. We have a few more in there, but specifically, mine originate from Cairo.   I have always had a fascination with Egypt and you can see that on my Instagram when I visited a museum and took pics of Egyptian relics.
My newest series out next year,  ancient Egypt plays a part and this is a paranormal series.
Stay tuned for more.

The Hermit Tarot

When the tarot card, the Hermit came up for me to write about, I just laughed.  I am always referring to myself as a hermit.  In my previous life (old job) I was in the investment industry, managed quite a few reps. And handled A LOT of accounts.  I did speaking engagements etc., and naturally, I am pretty outgoing, of course when I am not in front of a group.  Always on the phone…my phone rang nonstop.
So, when I left that business, I became a hermit. Not having to be on the road traveling, being on the phone.  To this day I still hate the phone.  And it doesn’t mean I like to text all day either.  After years of that, I don’t think I will ever get back to the point where I want to start that up again.

Generally speaking, I would say depending on my company, I can be a bit introverted.

What does it mean when you draw that card?  What in astrology is it associated with?
Well, Virgo which is ruled by Mercury.  Which to me seems wrong, just from my perspective.  First of all, Virgo rules service to others, health, healing.  Cops and nurses can be found as Virgos.  Does that sound like a group who has to be to their selves?  I didn’t think so.  When I think Hermit, I think the sign Cancer.  But what do I know?  If you are still reading then I guess you may think I am worth reading?
Anyway- The Hermit card represents that we need to get away from the hustle and bustle.  Quiet time to reflect and take care of ourselves.  Well, Virgo may have a foot in the door there.  Depending on the reading it may represent someone in your life.

I am a writer, a blogger…I write books.  My face is always in the computer.  Every once in a while I flip on the news so I can pick a subject to have a tangent on, then I blog it on one of my sites and move on to my freelance work and my books. So, I guess I could say I am in my own head a lot, which can be dangerous. My head is a plethora of the space channel’s latest rant on what we are finding in space or a diaper change I just did for my youngest all the way down to book marketing to some random news feed I just read that was disturbing. I have an older son; teenager and I will just say he in his own right is enough mental stimulation in half an hour than I get out of breaking down the economics of a small country’s debt issues.  I have days where watching paint dry may be just what my brain needs.
So “hermitizing” as I call it, is a way of life.  I just tell anyone who has drama to “cancel my subscription, I don’t need your issues.”  I even have the t-shirt and proud to wear it.
So, when you get this card, it is a good thing.  Take time for yourself and stay away from people who just weigh you down with their problems and gripes.  Be a friend, not an enabler.  We have enough of those people.  Heal, mediate, relax. A person can take what they want when they draw this card, but for me it represents something that needs addressing from the inside or a break from the outside. Depending on what kind of reading your are doing will also have significance, but that is another post!

The Chariot Tarot Card

The Chariot Number 7

Trump Card in the Major Arcana represents a few different aspects.  First, it is associated with the astrological sign Cancer which is ruled by the moon.
Think about family, maternal, motherly, and emotional when this card is drawn.  Possibly secretive when thinking of Cancer or the crab.  How does a crab react?

As far as the chariot goes, it represents a level of focus and determination.  There are two views on if the chariot represents aggression or defense?  The two Sphinx depicted in black and white represents light and dark or simply a  balance. With the curtain of celestial bodies that hangs over the man in the chariot signals the powers of the universe.
The meaning is dependent on what kind of reading is used. For the purposes of general discussion, I think the information that the quarant may take from this card in a reading is subjective.
From my perspective in regards to the astrological association, this card to me could very easily go either way.  However, the chariot is in itself a mode of transportation, movement, going forward for any reason to fight or in defense.  Whatever it may be, it is certain that with the Sphinx is representative of oracles and the Egyptians regarded them as very important.  It could represent a choice between the two concepts of fight or defend and that interpretation if left up to the quarant.

Two lovers say goodbye. Each departing for their own journey.

The Hierophant

The Hierophant- most often depicted as a religious figure or priest, this is most often the 5th card of the Major Arcana.  Also, this card is associated with the astrological sign of Taurus the Bull.
So what does it mean to draw this card in a reading?  It depends on what kind of reading you are doing.  However, in general terms this card wants you to conform to traditional values or be merciful.  It can also symbolize the connection to Earth and the Heavens.
With the Taurus, association signifies stability and peace. Think relationships and forgiveness.  Notice the priests at his feet and see the columns which can represent stability and strength.
From the author’s perspective, I can’t see this card being negative even if drawn in reverse.  Sure it may represent a difficult situation that may pose challenges, but this card speaks to determination and seeing something to fruition.

S

I know a lot of Taurans, and one thing they are not is unstable.  In fact the opposite, they can be quite stubborn!  I mean that in the nicest way😊
Not a thing wrong with a Taurus unless the person is severely immature or goes to the very materialistic side of things and that is all that drives them.  That is just the con of being in that sign.  All signs have a good and not so good side.  No one is perfect! A good down the middle Taurus and a representation of the Hierophant says there is something in a higher power to guide you, comfort you and show you that through stability things can be achieved.

The Emperor

MLXLOh, the emperor, the large and in charge card.  Well here comes a brush with authority or some figure in your life, more than likely a male.
The card itself is ruled by the astrological sign of Aries, a fire sign and first in the zodiac.  Which, in turn, Mars rules Aries.

Think red hot, war, male, judge, lawyer.  Someone in power.  A pioneer or a very prolific person.
It also symbolizes hard work, stability, having things under control.  Are you on your way to a promotion? Or some advancement?  Or is it possible your companion is going to receive some promotion?
Aries-  This sign is the pioneer of the zodiac.  Brave, resilient, and never backs down and comes packed with a punch of tenacity as so long as other signs/placements and or houses in the chart do not quell these traits.

Look at where the Emperor rests his hands, …on the rams.  This is the Aries association ram.  Ever see those guys battle it out? Headfirst, and yes, that is your Aires element to the Emperor.
I have an Aries moon.  I read on a post a while back that those with the moon in Aries are more animated than those with the sun in Aries.  I don’t know, my father is a sun in Aries, and crazy enough all four of the major planets he has are in Aries.  Well let me say this, the guy was in the military, did every sport under the sun, hardly slept, wrote a book despite being dyslexic and could have gone to college on a full-ride with a football scholarship.  Know anyone like that?  I don’t think my dad ever knew what the word failure meant.  In fact, I don’t think he cared to know it, feel it let alone consider it.

SLXL
There wasn’t anything my father wouldn’t have tried, and if he would have been born rich, I shudder to think about what other endeavors he would have jumped on.  Now, as he is older, he likes to fish.  Of course, he competes.  I went along for some bonding time.  Well, that didn’t work out, he critiqued my cast, made me change my lure ten times.  Not because he likes correcting anyone, he was so worried I wouldn’t catch anything and not have fun.  When I put my rod down, I said: “Dad, I came to bond, I can fish any time.”  He glanced down at the water and smiled.  He was quiet after that for a while, but then we just talked. But he made sure he caught his fish…Aries has to compete, at everything!
Back to the Emperor, it is a good omen to have in your reading.  Maybe you are on the cusp of something important. Perhaps you are about to start a new fad, a new product line or something like that.  Are you getting ready for a competition?   Whatever it is that you have going on in your life, it means hard work and stability.

The Empress in Tarot

What is the meaning when the Empress card appears?
In astrology, The Empress card is ruled by air sign, Libra which represents the planet, Venus and the seventh house.  The symbol of Venus is placed near the bottom left on the card.
This card represents beauty, luxury, love, balance, and judgments.
The seventh house is a partnership house and most often associated with legality, marriage, partnerships, and contracts.
Depending on the reading, it can deliver deeper meaning to this card.
This card is usually a positive aspect and may represent conception.  You may not have a little one on the way, but you may have a new concept in your life at work or in your life philosophy.
The Empress wants you to look at what you have and realize this is a positive I would say this is a wonderful card in the tarot deck. However, the seventh house represents balance and many Libra's struggle with decisions.  Careful, too, this may represent a choice.   If there are few positive aspects, then it may represent a negative female influence.  Again, it depends are what type of reading is used.

Tarot- The Death Card

I do not believe that drawing the death card is the worst thing in the world.  Besides, life is about a series of letting go.  Nothing stays the same and we as humans are always in a state of change, some for the good some for the bad.  If I am going through a bad time, I see the death card, I think it means a death of a bad situation.

In astrology, the death card is associated  with Scorpio.  Scorpios are associated with death, rebirth and regeneration.  This sign tends to be very polarizing in that those born under this sign can rise to great heights or plummet to the bottom of the barrel.  I have personally known a few Scorpios in my day and putting it nicely, the definition of the negative side is quite true in my situation.  Scorpios come packed with a sting and some will stop at nothing to destroy you.  My main villain in the story is associated with these traits and represents someone I had the misfortune of ever having dealings with.

The planet that rules Scorpio is Pluto. Another planet that is mysterious.

If you conduct a reading and the death card surfaces, do pay attention to what kind of reading it is and where it shows up.  The death card can really turn into a good thing.

The word death has such a negative connotation.  Sometimes the death of something is simply the birth of something new.

The Lovers Card In Tarot

The Lovers card shows a naked man and woman standing beneath the angel, Raphael, whose name means ‘God heals’ and represents both physical and emotional healing. The angel blesses the man and woman and reminds them of their union with the Divine.

The couple stands in a beautiful, fertile landscape, reminiscent of the Garden of Eden. Behind the woman stands a tall apple tree, with a snake winding its way up the trunk. The serpent and apple tree represent the temptation of sensual pleasures that may take one’s focus away from the Divine. Behind the man is a tree of flames, which represent passion, the primary concern of the man. The twelve flames suggest the twelve zodiac signs, the symbol of time and eternity. The man looks to the woman, who watches the angel, showing the path of the conscious to the subconscious to the super-conscious, or from physical desire to emotional needs to spiritual concerns.
The volcanic mountain in the background is rather phallic and represents the eruption of passion that happens when man and woman meet in full frontal nudity.

In astrology, the lovers card is associated with the 3rd house, and Gemini which is ruled by the planet Mercury.
The Angel is a messenger of love and brings guidance from the heavens to help the man and woman. Similarly, Gemini rules the 3rd House of communication, information and messages.

Tarot The Priestess

What I want to point out first is, that there are 2 columns in this picture.  What modern day teachings, more so with certain religious establishments would have you believe is that the columns B and J represent King Solomon and the pillars from the old testament. B represents Boaz or negation or strength and J represents Jachin or establish.
However, I disagree.   Ever heard of the Free Masons?  I won’t go into a topic on them and the secret codes of society hidden in plain sight.  In particular columns are representative in much of their institution.  See the image.

M

They are believed to have many secrets within their society…just as the priestess holds what is hidden.
What do I mean?  The priestess is associated with the Earth’s moon which in turn is rules the astrological sign of cancer.  Now what do we know about these topics?  Well first of all the moon is considered feminine, just as the sign of cancer is.  Priestess herself is considered what is hidden from us, mystery, feminism, emotions.  Now the card itself is associated with Virgo or the Virgin in astrology.  Another feminine aspect.  What do we know about Cancer witch is represented by the crab.  Well crabs are a mysterious lot.  They hide in their shell in live in the water, poke one and you get the snip!

The priestess forces us to look for hidden truths.
Anyway, I find it interesting that the Priestess that represents what is hidden, truly hides more from us even in representation of the columns.  The columns simply represent the duality of life.   Man and woman, duality and that we if you take a look at the image that comes from the Masonic Lodge, there again are depicted as columns.  On the card, which is number 2 card, I think what the columns represent are more than just some reference to the bible.
Humans are simply a part of something so grand, that if we simply look beyond our scope for deeper meanings of things would help us live to our full potential.  Everything in our universe and the world as we know is requires balance.
In my books in the series Meridian Chronicles, I do reference tarot and astrology…but not in this depth.
However, I also have riddles and mystery.   I write about the things that I do because even though my books are fiction, they are based on my truths, what life is to me.  That the universe requires balance and that not everything we see is on the surface.  Look beyond what we see for hidden meanings.   The protagonist in my series is named after something that we do not see, but exists - Meridian.  Our bodies have meridian lines and our planet has a meridian line.
From the author's perspective, I love the priestess card because I am fascinated with the hidden and the unknown.  When she comes up in a reading depending on the placement- look beyond the surface for answers.
